Workplace harassment is a systemic issue that can affect any institution, including the judiciary. As the main pillar of justice, the court environment is required to maintain the highest standards of integrity and security for all its personnel.
Gathered together in a national-scale online seminar, the Indonesian Judges Association (IKAHI) and the Indonesian Women's Judges Association (BPHPI), supported by YSEALI, discussed the theme “Towards a Harassment-Free Judiciary”. In the discussion, Imelda Riris, representing the Never Okay Project, delivered the session Sexual Harassment at Workplace 101.
This online seminar, held on October 17, 2025, was attended by 947 participants, with the main discussion taking place in Jakarta. This virtual session was attended by judges, legal practitioners, and judicial staff from across the country.

Main Message: Integrity and Legal Protection
The event opened with a keynote speech from Dr. H. Yasardin S.H., M.H., as Chair of IKAHI, discussing and directing the topic of conversation toward integrity in legal practice. After that, Dr. Nani Indrawati S.H., M.Hum (Chair of BPHPI) gave a response supporting the importance of creating concrete policy-based protections.
Basic Education and Comparative Study
In this online session, Never Okay Project also had the opportunity to present foundational educational material related to sexual harassment that occurs in the workplace. It provided insight and a concrete picture of the role of the judiciary in similar cases, as well as structured implementation to keep the judiciary's own work environment free from acts and the normalization of sexual harassment.
Judge Ashleigh Parker from Wake County District Court, North Carolina, USA, also shared experiences in this session about how the court system in the United States handles harassment and bullying cases.
Commitment to Creating a Safe and Integrity-Driven Workplace
Through this seminar, Never Okay Project hopes participants not only gain theoretical knowledge, but are also encouraged to become agents of change in their respective workplaces. Creating a safe workplace is the first step to ensuring that our law enforcers can work to the fullest without fear or intimidation,
This activity is the first step in an ongoing collaboration to ensure that the slogan "justice for all" also applies within the home of those seeking justice themselves: the judiciary.
