Never Okay Project run by young workers that willing to give their time for creating workplace without sexual harassment.
Imelda is currently pursuing her master degree, majoring in Applied Social Analysis at Linnaeus University, Sweden. She previously worked for a consulting firm that concerns on sustainable development programs, mainly focusing to help companies/corporations to have such effective CSR programs in order to hit the targeted impact.X
Alvin has experience in behavioral criminology which focuses on the study of behavior change, crime risk and moral ethics. For the past three years, he has been involved professionally to strengthen the sectors of public integrity, governance, justice reform and human rights through a social accountability approach. Alvin is also a researcher at Transparency International Indonesia.X
Fiana, who is experienced in the field of risk analysis and assessment hold her master degree in Occupational Health and Safety (K3) from the University of Indonesia. She is confident with her skills in program management and community management. Fiana is currently building a Google Question Hub Indonesia.X
Lala is a graduate of Education Curriculum and Technology from UNJ with a concentration in Learning Media. She also took a Master’s Degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resources from Mercu Buana Jakarta to better understand the characteristics and power of human productivity. Lala uses her visual design skills and understanding of audience characteristics to create knowledge products. She also works in an environmental NGO in the knowledge management team to develop knowledge dissemination strategies in various regions in Indonesia.X
Living in a patriarchal society makes Protasius interested in feminism and gender equality since his high school era. He discovered Never Okay Project during his study in French Literature at University of Indonesia, and he did not think twice to apply as a volunteer by then. Through his skill in visual communication, Prota partakes in spreading gender awareness. Never Okay Project enables him to find his role in the society, ending sexual harassment and gender discrimination.
Aside from literature and gender, Protasius is also interested in environmental issues, which is manifested through his initiation in building a community focusing on the environment. Currently, he supports creating a better world through diction, creation and action.X
Growing up with The Beatles’ Abbey Road in Jakarta’s south area, Claudy – who has just finished her study in Psychology at Brawijaya University, wants to contribute in combating oppression towards anyone’s life through Never Okay Project as a Community Outreach Specialist. Believe it or not, volunteering is like a therapy to gain a sense of self-worth to others.
Claudy has recently indulged in the world of HR in an IT consulting firm, and her time at NOP would be a never-ending spirit to combat oppression and sexual harassment in the world of work, even everywhere.
She falls in love with Paulo Freire’s Pedagogy of the Oppressed, which encourages her to explore community development by giving alternative education which challenges the bank which goes in the opposite direction of the poor. She teaches children in Menteng, Central Jakarta. Claudy believes that education is like an angel, who protects oneself from violence, and it is the seed towards freedom.X
A woman who loves words. Though working in advertising and mostly being involved in commercial campaign creation, Vre has always wanted to partake in social campaign creation, especially that she is always enthused in discussing the minority and women’s issues.
As a sexual assault survivor herself, she became so sure to join Never Okay Project in spreading awareness of sexual harassment through text because no matter how small the form of sexual harassment is, it’s Never Okay!X
Zeni believes that social problems derive from society, thus can be resolved collectively. She tries to be a part of the collective with her visual communication skill whilst attaching socio-political issues, especially feminism and gender equality. Starting from community-based social movement, Zeni aims to expand her contribution by volunteering at Never Okay Project.
Currently, Zeni studies Social Welfare Science at University of Indonesia while finishing sitcoms and catching up with popular culture.X
Gender and Social Structure, which Fildza took during her study at Sociology Department UI, woke her up that many social problems are rooted in gender inequality. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of this.
Deriving from such restlesness, Fildza likes to open discussions on gender through film review, Netflix series, or K-drama she watches.
To expand her contribution, Fildza joined Never Okay Project in Research & Knowledge Management to channel her interest in social research, or her curiosity!X
Deriving from his interest in investigating gender and sexuality issues in literary and media texts during his study in English Literature, Firhat believes that patriarchy also harms men, especially those with non-normative gender expression and sexual orientation.
He currently works as a Content Specialist for a management consulting firm with a passion for making use of his research and writing skills for a collective movement on the issue of women and minority groups.
Joining Never Okay Project is a manifestation of such will.X
Fed up with her routines, makes Okke think there is something else that needs to be done. Her concern for gender and human rights issues are the reasons why she is interested in joining Never Okay Project. She believes that every voice has the right to be heard and telling a story is part of the resistance.
Loves to play with her cats, watch movies/series, listen to vinyl at free times, and laugh at memes that related to her life.X
